Willie Revillame Suspended by ABS-CBN
After the incident in Wowowee wherein Willie Revillame’s comments on cutting out Cory’s funeral during the live telecast of his show was shown in public television, ABS-CBN decided to suspend Willie indefinitely. There was a public rage from the bloggers and even ordinary Filipinos on the insensitivity of Willie’s comments. Willie had already repeatedly apologized to the Aquino family but the despite of the apology, they cannot control ABS-CBN’s decision or even the MTRCB.
However, Edgar Mortiz, the creative director of Wowowee denies the accusation that he was suspended. He said that Willie will only be taking a 1 week leave from the show and will be back.
