Michael Jackson’s newest single, “This is It” just released last Monday. After a few hours of the release of this much-awaited single, it turns out that the tune of the song was recorded 18 years ago by a Puerto Rican singer.

The co-author of the tune, Paul Anka, has threatened to sue Jackson’s estate for proper credit and for the share of royalties as well.

Paul Anka was awarded 50 percent of the copyright by the administrators of the estate.

The tune of the song used in “This is It” dates back to 1983 and it was know as “I Never Heard”.
