Since 1999, The Buzz has gained the popularity and became the number 1 Showbiz Talk Show in the country. Boy Abunda started the show with Ricky Lo and John Lapus as its first hosts. As the show continues, other co-hosts joined the program which include Cristy Fermin, KC Conceeption, Ruffa Gutierrez, Charlene Gonzales, Carmina Villaroel, Janice de Belen and Toni Gonzaga.

According to Abunda, “The Buzz” recognizes the evolution in showbiz news reporting and to cope with it, everyone from the show has decided to “take a step back” and determine how they can reinvent the long-running showbiz talk show.

Abunda, however, vowed that the program will be back stronger because “showbiz news is here to stay and the talk show genre is here to stay.”
