Star Cinema Crew Part of Sunken Aboitiz Ship

Star Cinema film crew aboard MV Superferry 9 last Sept 6 which was bound to Iloilo to shoot “Tanging Pamilya”. The passenger ship sunk, 5 were reported dead and 931 have already been rescued. Only 11 out of the 29 Star Cinema film crew was rescued, the remaining crew’s status are still undetermined. Equipments and costumes for the film were gone because of the tragedy.

The reason of the tragedy is still undetermined but some blame it to the hard rains at that time. Aboitiz still continued to  sail even though there was already a warning from the Philippine Coast Guard.
