Regine Tolentino Clears Name After SSS Remittance Issue

Through Startalk, actress and dancer Regine Tolentino redeemed herself on the SSS remittance issue involving her employees. As a business owner with employees working for her, she’s obliged by law to remit SSS contributions of her employees. She believes that there was a miscommunication between her and SSS. Her business was previously located in her mother’s house but then she transferred to her own house together with her business and SSS was not able to know the new address. SSS filed a case against her for allegedly failing to remit employee contributions amounting to more than P20,000 since 2008. According to Regine, that amount was already settled with SSS and she has documents to support her claim. She even went her way to go to SSS and clarify the matter. It was a classic case of miscommunication and SSS had already apologized for this matter. They don’t know who released this story to the media.
