Ms. Earth 2010 Beauties for Biodiversity
Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Horacio Ramos is flanked by Ms. Earth and Li’l Earth Angel Philippines beauties during the “Flores de Mayo Para sa Samu’t Saring Buhay” held June 4, 2010 at the SM North EDSA in Quezon City.
Miss Earth 2010 Winners
The traditional summer event was made even more interesting by its objective to raise public awareness on the richness of the country’s biodiversity, with the beauty queens parading with umbrellas designed by students from the Institute of Philippine Floral Techniques, in cooperation with the Philippine Orchid Society, using common foliage and flowers that abound in tropical forests.
The event was also part of the national observance of the International Year of Biodiversity, with the theme “Biodiversity is Life; Biodiversity is our Life.”
