Is Maxine Medina Ready for Back-to-Back Miss Universe Crown?
From pasarela to make-up, we’ve seen a lot of youtube videos how Maxine Medina is seriously and eagerly preparing herself for the upcoming pageant. While a lot of pageant experts are looking at Maxine as a strong delegate, this years pageant is quite tough since a lot of exceptionally beautiful delegates are expected to join.
In an ABS-CBN interview, Marites Allen, a feng shui expert, gave her prediction for Medina’s chances for the competition and the forecast didn’t feel all too optimistic. Allen explained that while Medina may look confident on the outside, by the end of it all, the pressure that comes with trying to win the country’s first back-to-back titles may just overwhelm the Filipina.
“The issue with the Horse [referring to Medina’s animal sign], during the Chinese New Year, the conflicts will begin. The issue with her is while the strength could be very strong, the perception is just going to be too much. …Internally she will be feeling so much pressure,” Allen said.
During her official send-off, Maxine showed everyone how she was transformed by the trainings she have gone trough. She is now more confident, more aware about social issues and more skilled when it comes to make up and fashion.
Before joining the Binibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant, Maria Mika Maxine Perez Medina is busy practicing interior designer and professional print and ramp modeling. A lot of pageant experts are doubtful about Maxine’s communication skills while some thinks that Maxine can do it, some even gave the recent Miss World pageant as an example where the contestant with the least interesting answer eventually won.
Happening on January 30 in Mall of Asia Arena, this will the third time that the Philippines will host this prestigious beauty pageant. The 65th Miss Universe pageant will be participated by 87 delegates from all over the world.
