Lani Mercado Elected in San Miguel Corp. Board of Directors

Lani Mercado, actress and wife of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, was elected to be part of San Miguel Corporations’ board of directors and was backed up by President Gloria Arroyo. She will be replacing Director Silvestre Bello III.

Lani accepted the offer because she feels that she could offer something San Miguel Corporation, a top Philippine company. It was President Arroyo who recommended her to become one of the potential replacements of Silvestre Bello III. Her resume wasn’t needed anymore because it was Malacanang that ordered her to be part of it. Malacanang has 27 percent ownership in San Miguel Corporation.
