“Harry Potter” Franchise in the Philippines Reached 1 Billion Pesos

It is evident that Filipinos adore the Harry Potter franchise because after showing “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” in cinemas for 12 days, the franchise has reached Php 1 Billion. This is the largest amount that a foreign franchise has ever reached in the history movie series. The news was revealed by Warner Brothers Philippines’ General Manager Francis Soliven.

The Harry Potter movie series is now at par with successful film series such as “James Bond”, “Spiderman”, “Starwars” and “Lord of the Rings”.
