Eugene Domingo is now being labelled as the next Comedy Queen because of the success of her first lead role film, Kimmy Dora. After 6 days of public showing, it has already earned P26 million. People can’t help but compare her to Ai-Ai De las Alas who was first labelled as the Comedy Queen because of Tanging Ina. Eugene still has her feet on the ground and whatever label the public may give her, it won’t really matter. She doesn’t feel that Ai-Ai is a competition, in she supports Eugene wholeheartedly. Eugene considers Ai-Ai as the pilar of allowing women to be leads in comedy films. If it weren’t because of Ai-Ai, probably until now only men would become lead stars in comedy films.
Even though she already had a lead role, she will still accept support roles for as long as the script is good.
