Cinemalaya 2009 Opens

The 5th Cinemalaya opened on Sunday at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. There are 20 films that will be competing in the independent film festival. 10 films are full-length films and 10 shorts. The first film that was shown to the public was “Manila” produced and starred by Piolo Pascual. Other lead stars in the film were Rosanna Roces, Raya Martin and Jay Manalo were present also.

To know the winner of the 5th Cinemalaya (Cinemalaya Cinco), the awards night will be on July 26.
