Its Showtime Beats Eat Bulaga

Despite the Eat Bulaga lead in rating game, ABS-CBN’s new noontime program, It’s Showtime, managed to gain more advertisers compare to Eat Bulaga and Kusina Master combined ad sales for that opening day!

It’s Showtime accumulated an outstanding 49.8 ad minutes in its debut last Monday, easily beating the combined commercial airtime of Eat Bulaga and Kusina Master with 31.3 ad minutes and 6.3 ad minutes respectively.

This is a complete turn over from the viewership data released by AGB Nielsen and Kantar which indicates EB and Kusina Master edging over Showtime in a wide margin!

However, total earnings are yet to be concluded from this data as sources indicate, GMA’s ad rate for its Daytime programs are relatively higher than counter parts from ABS-CBN.

Kapamilya Deal or No Deal 2012 26K Audition

Kapamilya Deal or No Deal will be back this year and ABS-CBN is looking for new set of 26k girls.

According to their commercial, auditions for the new 26k girls will start on January 11, 2012 and the ladies should be at least 5’5 inches tall and must know how to dance as well.

Auditioners are required to bring their own high heels and dance clothes and look for Bing Ramos.

Charice on CNN’s Talk Asia show

CNN will air an interview with singer Charice Pempengco. Charice was dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as “the most talented girl in the world,” her voice has stunned audiences around the world and has taken her from talent shows in ABS-CBN in the Philippines to appearing on the Ellen Degeneres Show and Oprah Winfrey Show to having a part on the hit Musical TV show, Glee.

In 2010 Charice also became the first Asian singer in history to rank in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart. This week Talk Asia sits down with the rising star to talk about her meteoric rise to success.

The interview will air on Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 3 at 9 p.m., Dec. 4 at 7:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., Dec. 5 at 9:30 a.m., Dec. 6 at 4:30 p.m., and Dec. 8 at 1:30 p.m.

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited 2011

The newest season of Pinoy Big Brother which is called PBB Unlimited has premiered Saturday night, October 29, 2011. Another set of PBB housemates that we will watch everyday, the director revealed that the PBB livestream will be available soon although it was no longer being provided in some European Big Brother editions.

Robi Domingo, a former PBB finalist-turned actor, and Martin Concio, will host PBB Unlimited together with Toni Gonzaga and Bianca Gonzales. Mariel Rodriguez who just transfered to TV5 is no longer part of the show.

Martin Concio is ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio’s son. Pinoy Big Brother or PBB debuted in 2005 through a partnership with the British production company, Endemol.

While everyone is planning and searching for holiday deals, these 14 housemates will stay inside the house following Big Brothers Rules and tasks.

The reality TV shows for Pinoy’s who wants to lose weight has just ended. Larry Martin, this years winner entered the Biggest Loser camp weighing 255 pounds and with only one goal in mind: to get fit so he could return to the police force. After four months of extreme physical training, he left the camp weighing only 170 pounds.

“I did not only lose my job; I also lost self-respect. I’ve always wanted to gain that back, and ‘The Biggest Loser’ was able to do that for me,” Larry quipped. Larry lost the highest weight percentage of 39.61% since ABS-CBN’s “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition” aired its first episode on May 30.

Martin took home P1 million, a condominium unit from DCMI Homes, a Vespa scooter, a 40-inch Sony Bravia Internet TV, Whirlpool appliances, P100,000 worth of salon services, and a lifetime gym membership from Fitness First. Martin will also appear on the cover of the November issue of Men’s Health magazine.

I really admire the Pinoy contestants in the reality TV show because losing weight is not as easy as finding flights to paphos.

The “Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Wellness Fair and Grand Finale” was hosted by Sharon Cuneta, game master Derek Ramsay, and trainers Chinggay Andrada and Jim Saret.

Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu, better known as simply Kim Chiu, is a Chinese Filipino actress,singer and model. She lived in Cebu City before she went to Manila for Pinoy Big Brother. Kim was the first winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition and is currently part of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic contract artists.

Present sa contract signing are ABS-CBN bigwigs led by the President, Ms. Charo Santos-Concio and the Channel Head Ms. Cory Vidanes.

Korina Sanchez and Noli de Castro back in TV Patrol

According to ABS-CBN, veteran and most respected broadcast journalists Noli de Castro and Korina Sanchez will be returning to TV Patrol on November 8, 2010.

“For the first time, three respected news icons in Philippine broadcast journalism are joining forces to strengthen “TV Patrol,” ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast and the leading news program in the country for the past 23 years,” the country’s largest broadcast network said in a statement.

“Starting November 8, Korina Sanchez and Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro will return to television to join Ted Failon in ‘TV Patrol’ to form the most tried and tested news team ever assembled in the history of Philippine broadcasting,” ABS-CBN said.

ABS-CBN said “de Castro returns with a wider knowledge of the workings of government after his stint as vice president of the Philippines.”

Meanwhile, Karen Davila and Julius Babao are set to join ABS-CBN’s late night news program, Bandila, to join Ces Drilon as anchors.
