Hudson’s character, named Cassandra July, will teach Michele’s (Rachel Berry) some moves over the next few episodes of season four of the hit series, reported Contactmusic.

“The Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin told CNN via e-mail Saturday that she wants to join American Idol as a judge. Aretha Franklin is 18-time Grammy winner and she is a longtime fan of American Idol.
Randy Jackson, who has been an American Idol judge since the show’s 2002 debut, is the only remaining judge.
Other celebrities vying for the vacant seats reportedly include Mariah Carey and Idol Season 8 runner-up, Adam Lambert.

The four judges of The X Factor Philippines gave her a standing ovation after her soulful rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Even the Youtube singing sensation Charice rushed to the stage to give her a hug.
