Goodbye Joanna Pacitti
And the drama continues.
Yes, you read it right: Idol hopeful Joanna Pacitti is indeed kicked out of the competition. A statement released by Fox shortly after the Top 36 announcement episode Wednesday says ” It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is deemed ineligible to continue in the competition.“
Pacitti has been under fire for weeks now, stemming from her previous showbiz carreer; and now, her apparent “personal” relationship with 19 Entertainment– the company producing American Idol- executives Roger Widynowski and Michelle Young.
According to reports published by Star, Pacitti once lived in the same apartment complex as both 19 Entertainment executives and are very good friends. And according to the tabloid, Pacitti even claims that Young is her manager. Other reports online claim that she even gave shout outs to them in the credits of her 2006 record.
A quick trip to the official American Idol website confirms that Pacitti is indeed out. She has been removed from the list of Top 36 contestants who will vie for a spot to be on the finals of the most viewed American TV show. 26-year-old Felicia Barton has replaced Pacitti in this season’s Top 36.
