Adam Lambert In; Norman Mitchell Out- American Idol Top 36 Batch 2 Results

And the results are out.

After battling it out on the Idol stage last night with songs picked from the Billboard Top 100, 3 from batch 2 of the American Idol Top 36 earned spots to advance to the Top 12.

The 2nd batch opened the show with a production number of RnB Hip-Hop artist Ne-yo’s “Closer,” after a montage of performances and Ryan Seacrest’s announcement that last night’s performances raked in 25 million votes.

Slumdog Millionaire Dominates the Oscars!

Slumdog Millionaire is tonight’s big winner at the 81st Oscar Awards, taking home a total of eight awards, including : Best Director for Danny Boyle and Best Picture. It bested The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Milk, Frost/Nixon, and The Reader for the award. Steven Spielberg presented.

The first Oscar to be given out was Supporting Actress which Penelope Cruz won for her performance in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.

The late Heath Ledger was honored posthumously with the Supporting Actor Award for ” The Dark Knight”. His father, Kim, mother and sister accepted the award on his behalf.

Another big winner was Kate Winslet, who won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in A Lead Role for “The Reader”. It’s Winslet’s first ever win, despite being nominated five times in the past.

Sean Penn took the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role for his portrayal of gay rights activist Harvey Milk in the movie “Milk”.

The acting categories were presented by five previous winners from each category. These included Goldie Hawn, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Sophia Loren, Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline.

Aside from the investigation of the alleged beating Rihanna suffered from ex-beau Chris Brown, they are now investigating how TMZ acquired this confidential Rihanna photograph.

Apparently this photo look alot like one that was taken during an official investigation.

Officials of LAPD are already conducting an internal investigation amid suspicion that the leaked photo that depicted injuries to Rihanna’s face was an inside job. It was also rumored that the photo was bought by TMZ for $62,500 from an unknown source.

Last week, the American Idol Top 36 was announced to the world in a very emotionally charged episode. And it wasn’t even a day when the controversy stricken show was dealt yet another blow when news came out in the media — hopeful Joanna Pacitti was booted from the Top 36 roster, and 26-year old mom Felicia Barton was in.
